We at Juniper Cricket are in the process of getting our new entity a start-up initiative registered. The entity will be registered as a non profit association and any revenue generated through this initiative will be re-invested into Juniper Cricket towards cricket development. This will be the first of its kind where a Non-Profit association working as a startup.

Startups are not a form of company, but rather a way of working. Startups can be found in all types of industries but today the word startup is used more to describe innovative and scalable companies in the industries of technology and digitalization. We wish to amalgamate the concept of a startup in to the sports world as a non-profit venture.

Financing of startup can be done in different ways, either by taking out a bank loan, finding investors or through so-called business angels. Here for a Non profit association is usually funded by RF, SISU, Stad or Sponsorships. We wish to evaluate all revenue streams.

The main focus of our group is develop and promote cricket in the region. We intend to achieve this by working closely with Göteborg Cricket Club, SCF, RF, SISU, Göteborg Stad, Business Region Gothenburg, Local Universities and Sponsors.

We intend to conduct High Performance Coaching Programs. We also plan to collaborate with counties and other cricket clubs across the world by creating exchange programs. This will benefit the players of our region getting exposed to some competitive cricket. In order to step up the level of cricket played, we will Invite international players of high reputation and conduct high performance coaching camps.

To build a competitive environment we will conduct indoor championships especially during winter. Cricket in Sweden is only active during summer. However globally its a year round sport. The biggest hassle for us to play cricket the whole year is the weather. We can solve this by going Indoors. However we need a proper infrastructure to make this a reality. This is a focus area which we will address. We intend to make Gothenburg a global destination for Cricket in Winter.

We believe these activities will provide our youth more opportunities to nurture and display their cricketing talent which otherwise they miss today in comparison to youth living in commonwealth countries.

We also plan to invest in the area of Artificial Intelligence in the Bio-Mechanics space. There has been considerable amount of development in the use of AI space when it comes to Video Analysis. We will develop algorithms to compare gait of players and propose corrections. The revenue generated from various streams will be invested to develop and nurture the sport we all love.
